Letters home M, L

Checked out of hotel, To travel to Dickinson is too far. Posted a few letters home. Done some shopping bought myself a pair of binoculars Zenith 36$ Malay, and a cigarette lighter for Syl.

Not seen much of Singapore at all really. Plenty of boats in the harbour.

Received a letter from Vanessa (Eccles) she’s in Germany. Taxied out to boat 4pm, the Australasia. Made ourselves at home had a full meal it was fantastic, 5 courses. Don’t know when were sailing yet was supposed to be tomorrow, but not sure. Some have been on board a week now; this is the boat we should have caught on the 20th.

(Note: the Australasia was delayed in Singapore with engine troubles some passengers had to be flown back to Aus because of commitments etc hence the reason we managed to get passage)
